Dr Lauryn Perk

Dr. Lauryn Perk was born and raised in South Dakota and discovered her love for animals at a very young age, especially wildlife. Her earliest childhood dream job was to be a zookeeper! After pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science at Iowa State University in 2021, she developed a deep understanding and passion for all domestic species and the care they deserve.

Dr. Perk received her DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2026 and also completed her clinical rotations at Texas A&M University. The diverse cases she experienced at both schools further established her desire to pursue mixed animal medicine and see any patient in need, large or small. She has a particular soft spot for cats, horses, and Golden Retrievers.

Dr. Perk’s commitment to the North Star team was motivated by the opportunity to serve a wide variety of patients and clients, the friendly and hardworking team, and the North Carolina beaches! She is so excited to meet you and your loved ones!
