Dr. Kami Grochowski-Grum

Dr. Kami Grochowski-Grum (AKA Dr. G2) grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago and earned her B.S. in Wildlife Sciences from Auburn University. She went on to receive her veterinary degree from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. Following veterinary school, Dr. Grochowski moved to South Carolina, where she completed a small animal rotating internship at Columbia Veterinary Emergency Trauma and Specialty (CVETS). During her internship, she spent much of her time practicing emergency medicine while working alongside specialists in surgery, internal medicine, neurology, radiology, oncology, cardiology, and critical care.
While she enjoyed the fast-paced environment of emergency and specialty medicine, Dr. Grochowski realized there was something missing: the opportunity to care for a wider variety of species. Her background in wildlife sciences and experiences working with exotics, equids, and food animals throughout veterinary school inspired her to pursue mixed animal medicine, where she could combine her passion for diverse species with her love of building lasting relationships within a community.
Recently, she and her husband relocated to Fayetteville, where they are excited to finally be living under the same roof after years of military life and long-distance schedules. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Grochowski enjoys spending time outdoors, fishing, and tackling new gardening projects with her husband. Both Dr Grochowski and her husband are proud cat parents to Camper, a sweet & sassy tortie who keeps life entertaining at home. She is often referred as their “first born child”.
Dr. Grochowski is thrilled to be joining the North Star Veterinary Hospital team and looks forward to serving the community and caring for its animals for years to come.
