Robert Chase
Facilities Manager / Large Animal Rescue / Owner
Whatever I can do to make your time here efficient, safe
and stress free, please ask.
Working with animals large or small can be a very physical job. Owners of
lengthy horse trailers will appreciate the large curved drive through in back and
many drop off access options. The hospital was designed for active animals with
high grade non slip floors and ample space for techs and doctors to work.
Don't forget, North Star Equine Stables is right next door to the hospital.
Boarding, riding lessons and transport services are all available.
Thank you, Rob

Associate Veterinarian
The human animal bond is such a powerful thing. I like
to inspire and develop that in my patients and clients.
I have an entire farm that keeps my interaction with
animals very busy. Amongst the horses, cats, dogs,
chickens, turkeys, and rabbits, I also spend time
preparing for equine competitions.
I enjoy participating actively with with my German
Shepherds in Shutzhund training. Schutzhund is a sport
that focuses on developing and evaluating those traits in
dogs that make them more useful and happier
companions to their owners. Julie
Amy Montoya
Registered Veterinary Technician
I have always loved working with animals. I like the
many opportunities in a day to use my skills and
training to educate owners how to help their pets live a
long and healthy life.
I am excited to be part of North Star Hospital. The
modern designed surgery and exam rooms makes it
possible for the best experience and care here for you
and your pet.
This is my Siberian Husky "Hurley'. He likes coming to
work with me. His other talent, among many, is to sing
along sometimes when I'm playing my guitar. He's
pretty good. Amy

Large Animal Assistant / Office Manager
They are amazing creatures that need daily special
care because they are loving and caring in return.
I have been with North Star and Doc Kim for over
fifteen years and in the field of animal care for almost
twenty. Every animal that needs my help, gets my full
attention and experience.
My entire family rides. We enjoy the opportunity to
ride and camp in the mountains nearby. This is Tessa
my riding buddy.

Veterinary Assistant / Front Desk Manager
I just simply love animals. They need our help and
care and I am happy to give it to them. I have
worked with Rescue Rehab in the past and know how
crucial fast and reliable care can be.
Along with my dogs "Bo" the Boxer and "Skeeter" my
Chihuahua, I enjoy riding with my husband and three
children. Thank you for visiting our web site.
See you at the hospital.

Kelly Jernigan
Groomer and PT Reception
I am a groomer and part time receptionist here at North Star. I have been part
of the team since this summer. Making the animals as pretty as I can is what inspires
me the most. I have always loved animals and they have always gravitated to me. They
all have special personalities. With care and professional grooming in a comfortable
setting, I can bring out the best in each of them. It's great to feel and look pretty.
I am the proud Mother of a huge grey cat called "Ka'Mere" and a miniature Pinscher
called "Minnie". Along with a bird, fish, frogs and turtles they each have special
meaning to me and I love everyone of them.
My goal is give them the best life I can provide. Minnie loves it when we go
fishing or on long walks. I look forward to the opportunity to groom your
baby and make you both happy. Kelly
Margaret Brown
Veterinary Assistant / Reception
I am a small/large animal technician and receptionist at North Star Veterinary Hospital.
The reason I enjoy working here so much is that no two days are ever the
same. I enjoy
meeting new people and learning more about veterinary
medicine every day. I pride
myself in being the type of person that can
get along with anyone regardless of the
situation and will step forward
to assist with any task. I have been working here for a little
over a
year and I am so happy to have such a rewarding job.
I have two great kids that are my life when I am not at work. My daughter and I enjoy
participating in barrel racing and trail riding together. My son, myself and my husband
enjoy bird hunting with our dogs. Together as a family we participate in horseback riding in
parades and trail riding.

Veterinary Assistant
I grew up on the outer banks of north Carolina. Everyone says k.ew everyone due to
the island is small. I grew up helping with the round up of the wild ponies. One of
my many first animal jobs was working for a thoroughbred breeding farm and then
worked as a horse trail guide for taking tourists out on trail rides I to the ocean. I'm
the third the of 4 siblings. My hobbies in life riding horses, fishing, and taking care
of my 5 dogs. My best dog friend is Jax the jack Russell with me in my photo.
I am the hospitals dog whisperer. I like to communicate with the dogs and be their
camp counselor while they are here at NSVH. A rescue dog named Aleigha now has
come out of her shell due to some one on one time talking with her and carrying on
conversations.
From big dog to little dog to the horses I enjoy connecting with them all.
